To Reach People No One Else Is Reaching, We Must Do Things No One Else Is Doing

in Innovation, Uncategorized/by David Lawrence

About a year ago, I heard Craig Groeschel, pastor of LifeChurch.tv say to a group of church leaders, “To reach people no one else is reaching, we must do things no one else is doing!” This has become one of my favorite quotes that I look at almost everyday. This statement bothers me and challenges my thinking, as I hope it does yours. So many times in ministry we get so consumed with our daily leadership routine that we forget to step back and look at what the Holy Spirit wants to do differently through us — to reach people that no one else is reaching. But, to do that we must learn to adjust, refocus, and stop doing what everyone else is doing.

Watch this video clip below from Craig Groeshel. He expounds more on this principle at the 2009 Willow Creek Leadership Summit.

Your Thoughts?

    I love this.

“In order to reach people that no one is reaching, you gotta do stuff that non one else is doing. But to do things that no one else is doing.. WE CAN’T DO WHAT EVERYONE ELSE IS DOING…we need a bit of, “planned abandonment”…If what were doing is working than keep doing it. We don’t need 287 average ministries, we need a FEW ministries that god has uniquely created, designed, appointed us to do. A FEW EXCEPTIONAL MINISTRIES.
When he put us on earth.. HE SAYS, ” this is your assignment” We need to listen to him. ” THIS IS YOUR ASSIGNMENT” for which we must attack with the PAssion of the holy spirit.
If you really believe that this (christianity) is the most important decision that one should or could make, you should give your WHOLE life to it!”

I suggest everyone to read the book that I am reading now. God through reading the first chapter of this book, Ultimately led me to visit this church (Lifechurch.tv) led by Pastor Craig Groeschel about a week ago in Edmond, OK. My visit Was an AWESOME experience and I met some amazing people.
The book is called “Chazown” and its about clarity of Vision. It speaks Loudly to my life, and truly is an answer to my prayer. I’m sure it would speak LOUD to your life if you as well gave it a read.
